Library of Congress Resources for Teachers

Lesson plans and activities for using primary resources in the classroom, folk life resources, today in history – the links go on and on, and could provide the basis for years of classroom instruction.  Be sure to click on the Video Conference link – there are several web-based seminars that provide an introduction to using the Library online, guide the use of primary sources, and many other great topics.

The African American Migration
The African American Migration Experience is an amazing online resource hosted by the New York City Library System. It explore this migration from the earliest days through current times, and includes source and educational materials, a timeline, a geography of the migration, and beautiful graphics with wonderful a wonderful sound track.

Find videos, games, focus articles, an online classroom, and much more on this site that will be a great resource for teachers and fascinating to history buff kids with pretty good reading levels.

BBC Schools Ancient Greece Resources
BBC School's Greece pages provide information on Athens, Olympia, and Corinth, provides a timeline and links to the classics and other resources, as well as information for teachers and parents.
